Well we all know from our conversations here that those that enjoy socialism and no responsibility, those who want others to do their labor and take care of them usually vote Democrat and those who can do for themselves and take care of their own family and such vote OTD. Anything Other Than Dem.
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment on socialism. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade, so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.
After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students
who studied little studied even less, and the ones who
studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
On the second test the average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame, and name-calling begin to occur which resulted in hard feelings, and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes away all the reward, no one will try or want to succeed.
Can it be any simpler than that?
It started with Social Security and Welfare and will continue with regulation and rationing services like energy and socializing health care. Be careful how you vote, the Democrats are lock step in line with the Marxists and Socialists.
Well then there is this to study on.

Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, " Lay down your shovels, sit on
your asses, and light up a camel, this is the promised land".
Now Obama is going to steal your shovel , kick your asses, raise the
price of camels, and mortgage the promised land. (and he started already, the simple applaud him, the intelligent, oppose him)

I think the term would be "death by a million tiny cuts". Slowly but oh so methodically, the big government is nicking the American citizen. One of these days, and I'm afraid it'll be sooner than later, the greater public will look around and wonder why there's blood all over the floor. By then, the people that could have helped stop the slaughter of the nation will be just as weak and unable to oppose the socialist march as the people that have been screaming the whole time that we're being bled out like a hog on the skinning rack.
Watch those salesmen. They're sly lil' rascals.

I agree for the most part, but society does need a little bit of socialism in it.
Social Security and Medicaid are good things.
There were some students in that class who would have worked hard, but would never have been able to acheive an A. There are some people in thsi society, who despite how hard they work, are not able for a variety of reasons to support themselves, especially as they get older and we as a society should contribute to their support.
It is truly hard to make me think, but some how.. you seem to do just that!
