Yes sweet tea is iced, but the sugar/splenda is added after the tea boils then you allow it to steep. If you are in the South then yes, Iced Tea and Sweet Tea are synonymous. However, anywhere else you have to specify. I was in Las Vegas once and ordered Sweet Tea and the waitress brought me Unsweetened Iced Tea with some sugar packets.
